2/2 metronome (cut time)

Two half-note beats per bar: 2/2, also called cut time or alla breve. The first click is accented, and Tempo counts half notes per minute. A setting of 60 gives the same quarter-note duration as ♩ = 120, with two main clicks per bar instead of four.
Set Clicks per beat to 2 if you also want to hear the quarter notes. With Swing at Straight, a lighter click falls halfway between the half-note clicks. Count “one and two and” to follow all four quarter notes.
When moving from a quarter-note tempo marking to this page, divide the number by two. For example, ♩ = 180 becomes half note = 90. If your score already gives a half-note metronome marking, enter that number directly.
