A metronome in 7/8, counted in eighth notes with an accent on beat one. The tempo is the eighth note per minute, since 7/8 is felt in eighths: ♪ = 240 here is the same speed as ♩ = 120 in 4/4.
Most 7/8 music groups the bar as 2+2+3 or 3+2+2. Pick a grouping, or tap a beat to make it loud, normal or silent, so the click shows you the shape of the bar rather than seven even beats. Beats you set to silent still carry their subdivisions, which is a good way to practise holding the pulse without hearing every beat.
