Largo asks for a slow, broad pace. This page starts at ♩ = 50 in 4/4. Around 40–60 BPM is a rough guide, not a fixed boundary: use the score's metronome marking if it has one, and check which note value it refers to.
At 50, there are 1.2 seconds between quarter-note clicks. If that gap makes it difficult to place a note or a rest, set Clicks per beat to 2 for eighths, with Swing at Straight. Use 4 for sixteenths if the passage needs a finer reference.
Work on a short phrase and listen to the full length of its notes and rests. Then return to one click per beat and play it again. You can lower Tempo further if you need more time to make a particular movement cleanly.
